About

The G-Project began in 2007 as a small organisation aimed at helping people in rural communities to raise their standards of living by providing education, healthcare and other basic amenities.

The organisation was founded by Dr. Naomi Adjepong who with the help of a small team of people was able to raise over £5000 to renovate the sole nursery school in the town of Gyakiti in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The money went towards repairing the dilapidated building, providing furniture, playground equipment, teaching materials and a water storage tank. That year a team of 10 UK and Ghana volunteers went to Gyakiti and ran a weeklong program involving working with children in local schools, running health check clinics and organising community sports.

Following the success of our maiden mission, the G-Project has gone from strength to strength and has initiated several other projects in the same area and plans to increase its area of operation in the future.
